The Ex-Magazine

Dear readers and fans of the Ex-Magazine,

In the mid-seventies – in 1974, to be precise – we published the first issue of a magazine that aims to regularly provide information about the latest trends and developments in electrical explosion protection. The Ex-Magazine quickly became a popular read among our customers, suppliers, partners and many other readers interested in the sector and the technology.
In 2014, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the first Ex-Magazine by publishing a particularly extensive issue filled with interesting content – in the same year, we also made the decision to stop publishing the magazine in its classic print format. Since our reading and communication habits are changing so rapidly due to the increasing popularity of social media and online content, it seemed sensible for us to keep up with the times and to make our future content and articles available via digital channels and platforms. Our content on social media, such as on LinkedIn, in webinars and blogs, has since proven to be very popular.

After the final print edition was issued, we found out just how much our readers loved the Ex-Magazine. We received regular letters from our readers asking when another issue would be available. In these requests, we noticed that the actual printed format of the magazine was not necessarily at the top of our readers' wish lists; instead, they missed the magazine's unique collection of content and the way it presented current topics neutrally and expertly – without as few as advertisements as possible. As we are sure you can imagine, seeing our readers' interest in the Ex-Magazine and how much they valued it, even years after the final issue, has been a source of great pride and satisfaction for us.

In light of this, in 2020 we decided to bring the Ex-Magazine back with a modern new look. To phrase it in a more contemporary manner, you could call it a relaunch, or even Ex-Magazine 3.0. A huge number of internal and external experts immediately stepped forward to provide us with content, which was a clear sign to us that we had made the right decision. We will soon receive the first content for the upcoming digital relaunch, which will be available as content on our website; we hope it will become the next successful chapter in the Ex-Magazine's impressive story. In the future, we will expand this content at short intervals to include additional articles inspired by events or topics. We hope that this format will be exactly what our readers are looking for, and we are excited to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
